Ronnie Eaton To Play Final Lubbock Show This Friday
One of my favorite artists is moving on and the Hub City will be a lesser place without him.
Ronnie Eaton will play his final Lubbock show this Friday at the Triple J Steakhouse. Ronnie is scheduled to perform the first of three sets beginning at 6:30.
I've seen Ronnie at least a half dozen times and I have two albums and an e.p. from the guy. He's in constant rotation at my house and it's been a great pleasure getting to know him and see him perform live. He even covered Stone Sour's "Made Of Scars" just as a special treat for my Facebook friends. While he does a special version of West Texas country/folk, he's been known to rip into some classic rock or grunge on occasions. Ronnie, as I've explained before, is just GOOD music.
The video below was recorded a couple years ago by our sister station, though Ronnie will most likely be entirely solo for this gig, it's still a good example of what he does.
