Rooster’s Arcade Flashback, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!! [VIDEO]

I am sure that there were games before Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! but it was the first game that I remember where a sports figure was featured in a game. And even to this day Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! is still one of my favorites.

Released in 1987 on NES Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! was one of my favorite games to play.

You play as Little Mac and box against these over the top characters, boxing your way to the top to finally get a shot at the World Heavyweight Champion which is Mike Tyson. This game was a blast and I can remember my buddies and I would see who could get the game the fastest.

Now we see all kinds of sports games out there that have our sports hero's plastered all over the game and so forth. This is not a bad thing, sport games still play a big role in our gaming. We have come along way since 1987 with sports gaming and I still love to bust out some Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! and go toe to toe with Iron Mike.
