Spirit Halloween to Open at the South Plains Mall
The South Plains Mall is about to get even scarier.
It's a sign that fall and Halloween isn't too far away despite the hot temperatures. Spirit Halloween will have at least one new location in Lubbock. You never know which empty building or site the Halloween mega store will move into each year.
This year, they'll take over the old Bealls location at the South Plains Mall, which is on the south side facing Loop 289. Bealls closed in August 2020, and the space has been empty since.
It looks like the location will be a very good size for Spirit Halloween as they have banners on two sides of the Bealls entrance, one facing Loop 289 and the other facing a mainly empty west parking lot.
While it's not time for the Halloween shop to open just yet, they are hiring according to a sign on the door. If you're looking for a seasonal job where you get to sell Halloween costumes and decor, this seems like it would be a pretty fun job. The sign on the door at Spirit Halloween at the South Plains Mall says those interested in employment should visit Work4Spirit.com.
Beginning Wednesday, you'll be able to find all the locations of Spirit Halloween on their website. Spirit Halloween continues to grow in the United States. In 1999, Spirit Halloween has 63 locations. Now, they have over 1,300 locations. They're owned by Spencer Gifts.
Personally, I love Halloween and making our house look spooky. Spirit Halloween has always been a great place to pick up a costume or pick up something that will make the house a little scarier this year.
