An unknown suspect is said to have stolen a spider from a Lubbock pet shop by putting it in his front pocket.

Back on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021, a suspect walked into Walter's World of Pets, located at 3020 34th Street. One of the employees said that the suspect walked into the store and asked for merchandise from the back. It was then that the suspect allegedly grabbed a spider in its container.

The suspect walked around the store for a short time afterwards before putting the spider in his front pocket. KAMC News reports that the man then left the store without making any attempt to pay for the spider.

KAMC has since reached out to Walter's World of Pets to provide a copy of surveillance video or images that could help identify the suspect, but so far have not received a response.

There has been no update from Lubbock police.
