We all know there are numerous public access city parks around town, what you might not know though is going to shock you.

The good people over at the City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department do a lot more then just make sure the play ground equipment is safe, trash is picked up, and the parks are mowed.

Believe it or not there is a lot more going on at our local city parks then just kids playing.

Each month the city has a ton of cool events that take place in different locations all over town right in the neighborhood parks.
