Texas Grandpa Arrested After Burrito-Throwing Road Rage Incident
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A wild burrito-throwing road rage incident landed a Texas grandfather behind bars with major charges.
A burrito? Wtf happened?
It all went down near a Dollar Tree in Spring, Texas. A heated exchange between a grandfather (with two of his grandkids in tow) and another driver led the grandpa to follow the other driver around in a parking lot.
They clearly didn't appreciate this and retaliated by throwing a burrito at his car. That's when things got hairy.
The grandfather flew into a rage over the burrito being hurled at his vehicle. Despite his 17-year-old and 1-year-old grandchildren being in the car, he elected to ram the other motorist, causing major damage.
Think before you do something dumb.
Sharing the road with other drivers can be pretty frustrating, and nobody wants a burrito thrown at their car, but he made a poor decision by getting that bent out of shape about it. His reaction to the burrito landed him in jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, with a $7,500 bond.
He could have seriously injured everyone involved in the incident. I can't imagine doing such a thing, period, but I especially can't imagine doing it with a small kid in my car. Not only did he set a bad example for them of how you should behave in traffic, but he also could have hurt them. That's not being a very good granddaddy, if you ask me.
Keep calm and drive on, guys. It's just not worth it. Stay safe on the roads so we can all make it home to the ones who love us. That's what's important.
