What looked to be a year of starting from scratch and settling in has turned into a possible run for postseason play for Texas Tech basketball. The Red Raiders stormed into Norman tonight and showed the OU crowd at Lloyd Noble last week's upset was no fluke.

The bench ruled the first half for the Red Raiders, as they took a 16-point lead into halftime. A powerful start out of the second half gates was answered by Oklahoma, as they went on a 19-4 run to pull within five.

The Red Raiders responded on the back of point guard Robert Turner who made clutch plays, either shooting or assisting. Dusty Hannahs also contributed to cooling down OU's late hot hand with a key three-ball and free throws as extra icing.

The Red Raiders are looking for an NIT berth, which is a very possible thing now that they have yet another league win under their belts. With a couple more wins of the remaining seven games, Tech may just be in the catbird seat to earn a spot in postseason play.

Next up, a visit to Ames, Iowa to take on #11 Iowa State on Saturday.
