I know that my love for Texas Tech University is kinda shameless. I'm proud of my hometown school. I've loved all my professors and classmates, and have learned so very much about the world and myself while attending.

With a heart of empathy and fairness, Texas Tech is giving students the opportunity to choose between their letter grade or credit/no credit after they've learned what their letter grade will be.

So there's no gambling; either your grade helps your GPA, or it doesn't, in which case you can go for the neutral credit/no credit option. No one is just failing. No one is getting gut-punched academically because the world is in the middle of a pandemic.

Additionally, it's not an all-or-nothing deal. If you make an A in one class and take it on the nose in another, you can keep your A, but choose the credit/no credit option on the other.

If you're a current student with questions, contact your academic advisor or review the email you were sent from the school. You can also read more at The Daily Toreador.
