The Firestone at South Plains Mall Is Now Permanently Closed

The Firestone at South Plains Mall Is now permanently closed, according to their handwritten sign. An Uncle Julio's Restaurant is set to open there some time next year according to Lubbock in the Loop.

The Firestone Store on 50th street confirmed that the three remaining Lubbock Firestone stores are doing well and going strong!

It's sad to see this store close up, but we did learn that it only closed due to a lease decision, and they have plans to relocate and reopen in Lubbock eventually, according to their 50th street store.
