Ushering Out Summer As the New School Year Begins

It's hard to believe but in just a few short days summer vacation will officially end.

This last weekend before school starts will be a busy one for kids and parents alike.

With many kids trying to get in their last hoorah and parents trying to make sure they've gotten all the items from the back to school shopping lists.

In addition to the normal residents of Lubbock many new residents will be headed to the Hub to start their college careers.

For those of us with grown kids it means more traffic both on the roads and in stores, so be patient, take your time and remember to be kind.
