[WATCH] Pet Duck Excitedly Greets Abernathy Man Each Morning

Matthew Perez, of Abernathy, Texas, shared an adorable video this morning of how his pet duck "Chalino" greets him when he leaves home for work each day. He caught their interaction on his Ring camera, and it was too cute not to share with the rest of the internet. I hope it brightens up your day like it did mine!

I reached out to Perez to ask him about his pet duck, and he told me that Chilano is 6 months old and has a best bird friend, a 2-year-old chicken named "Alfredo". It sounds like something right out of a children's book...I can picture it now...

Keeping ducks as pals is actually becoming pretty popular. I just learned that my little sister actually has a pet duck, too. They can live a relatively long life, 10 to 15 years, and believe it or not; they make really great pets.
