A couple of young teens and preteens attempted to rob a man in North Texas at gunpoint on Christmas and were met by the wrath of a Texan with a gun of his own who turned the tables and fought back.

A total of four very young would-be robbers between the ages of 12 and 14 were involved in the attempted robbery, three of which were taken to the hospital after their victim shot back at them. Two are in stable condition but there is no word yet on the third. The fourth child was detained at the scene alongside the victim, and reports say they are both being cooperative with the investigation.

So far, none of their identities have been released.

You can't really blame the victim for protecting himself, but it's still such a terrible situation given how young the kids are. We can only pray they have learned now at a young age the gravity of decisions such as the one made on Christmas night. Hopefully, this changes the trajectory of their lives for the better and puts them on a more successful path.
