We've been talking about the new Soundgarden for a while, mostly because it was supposed to drop last week, before it was pushed up to Thursday of this week.  The arrival of a new Avenged Sevenfold caught us a bit by surprise.  More after this jump.

Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, has just issued an official statement regarding her mother Courtney Love‘s recent accusations that Dave Grohl tried to seduce Frances.

That old adage all good things must come to an end certainly doesn’t apply when it comes to Courtney Love and her goldmine of  tabloid-ready rantings. Yesterday Love unleashed a hate-filled rant aimed at Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl which accused him of being “obsessed with his hatred” of Kurt Cobain.

Alice in Chains will take the stage for the first time in 2012 at the upcoming MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert in Los Angeles. The event will honor AIC singer-guitarist Jerry Cantrell, and will also feature performances from Duff McKagan, Billy Idol, Mark Lanegan and more.
