Wow, this list was tough, and I'm surprised I didn't include any local Mexican food meals (I like both Anna's and Taqueria Jalisco). Maybe there was just too much to chose from at those places?

I guess you can say I have simple tastes. Most of this is inexpensive and some even qualifies as fast food. If you're looking for something good, local and fresh to put in your mouth hole, you can't go wrong with any of these. Enjoy!

5. The Monti Hasie Burger at Christakis Burgers. The recent hype about this place is well earned. This jumbo burger is served on whole wheat with cheese and jalapeños.

4. The Roasted Pork Noodle Soup at Thai Thai (Kouy Tiew Moo Daeng). The first time I ordered this, I thought I ordered badly.  I wasn't familiar with a Thai menu. Then I dived into this awesomeness.  The soup initially gives off the smell of flowers, but is amazingly addictive. You get a big bowl of it too.

3. Fried Bottle Cap Jalapeno's at The Breakfast House. I realize I wrote "meals" on here, so get anything on the menu, because it's all good, but get the bottle caps first.  When they first arrived I didn't think they were battered enough, then I tasted them. They were absolutely perfect.

2. Pete's Pastrami. I'm a pastrami fan. They are hugely popular on the East and West coast and Pete's is the only one that does it right (I go to the one at 529 34th). Tons of meat, mustard and a dill pickle. That's all you need.

1. Riversmiths Chilli Burger.  They ain't even playing. There's no lid on it. It looks like something you'd make for yourself at home. It has what I'd call a rustic presentation. Best of all, it's a chilli burger that doesn't give me heartburn. I don't know why because I slam the side jalapeno as well.  This is my choice for my last meal.
