An Avocado Has the Entire Internet Confused
A photo of an avocado has become the newest optical illusion on the internet to totally confuse everyone. Is the seed there or not?
A Facebook group called Aldi Mums shared the viral image with a caption that simply said "Bit of fun ladies." After glancing at the photo for far too long, we at 94.5 FMX still have questions and cannot come to a conclusion.
Some of us believe that the pit is there, as you can see a tiny nub or belly button on what would be considered the seed. On the other hand, that could just be an impression of the little nub part of the seed left on the inside of the soft avocado after removal.
My personal opinion is that there is no pit, but what do I know? I've cut up thousands of avocados during years in the service industry and I still have no idea. I want to say that the pit should be a bit darker, but it could just be smeared with a layer of avocado goop.
The only thing most of us can agree on is that guacamole is delicious and we should spend more time making it and less time arguing about photos of avocados on the internet. I can only hope that one hundred years from now, school children write book reports on how bored and easily entertained we were back in 2021.
