When I was a kid I remember roaming the streets from right after school got out until well after 10:00p.m. trick or treating all over the neighborhood, even to houses where I did not know the people.

Sadly, these days that is not really a safe option for parents, or their kids. Last weekend the great folks out at Nightmare on 19th teamed up with friends and local merchants to provide a safe family environment to bring the kiddos out for a bit of pre-Halloween candy and fun. And from the phone calls and numbers of people speaking out to thank them, I'd say it was a big hit!

Halloween night there will be several places around town hosting carnivals, and the now popular "trunk or treat" events where kiddos can dress up and go from car to car to get their candy fix.

Another cool event scheduled for Halloween  this years sponsored by Citibus and Spirit Halloween Store. On Monday one bus will be transformed for a special Halloween only appearance, sure to bring a smile to the faces of riders.

The event is being called "Boo Bus" and will take place all day, starting at 5:45 a.m through 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

The bus will travel to different routes, the drivers will be dressed up, and everyone who rides will be given candy!

Rides on the "Boo Bus" will be free and routes will change all day so everyone gets a chance to ride.
