Dimba's Chicken & Seafood has been a popular spot for delicious food in Lubbock for years. Now, owners Alex and Stellah Dimba are reaching out to the local community for help after the tragic and sudden loss of their son, Alexander Dimba.

According to their GoFundMe, Alexander died at his home on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022. He was a final year student of Personal Financial Planning at TTU as well as an alumnus of South Plains College and Frenship High School. He was often called "Aleki" or "Pablo" by those close to him and was said to be a "jovial and outgoing" person.

Family member Thomas Dimba established a GoFundMe account to help raise funds for the funeral expenses to lay Alexander to rest. Dimba's Chicken & Seafood has served Lubbock very well for over 30 years and it's up to the community to return the favor in any way that we can.

If you would like to donate money to help with funeral costs, please head over to the GoFundMe page. A couple of dollars can go a long way and every single penny adds up. As of the publication of this story, just over $4,000 of the $20,000 goal has been met.

Let's help this Lubbock-owned business give their beloved son the funeral that he deserves and continually remind them just how much we love and care for them during this time. The restaurant is still up and running today, so if you have the time you might want to head over and order a bite to eat and perhaps make a donation in person.

94.5 FMX would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Alexander Dimba.
