Evie Mae’s Barbecue Advances to Second Round in Texas Monthly’s BBQ Bracket
Second round voting has begun for the 2019 Texas Monthly Reader's Choice BBQ Bracket.
Round one voting included two Lubbock County contenders: Evie Mae's Barbecue from Wolfforth, and Pitforks & Smokerings out of Slaton. But only one restaurant advanced to the next round.
Both contenders earned a spot on the bracket by having been listed in one of Texas Monthly magazine's best of barbecue issues. As we predicted, Evie Mae's advanced to the second round of the BBQ Bracket. We think that their competition in this round is weak-sauce, so we expect another easy slide into the next round of competition.
We haven't ever tried Snow's BBQ in Lexington, Texas, but we're sure it's not worth the trip when we have a better option right in our own backyard.
Go vote for the hometown team right now at the Texas Monthly Reader's Choice BBQ Bracket to make sure that Evie Mae's gets all the recognition they deserve!
