Calling All FMXers!

On April 20th it's the Scottish Rite Learning Center Car Show. We know you love cars, we know you love free, and we know you're going to love helping a worthy cause. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Scottish Rite Building at 1101 70th Street. There will be catering and more fun on-site as well. It would be absolutely awesome if you would make plans to attend.

How You Can Help

They are only making money three ways on this car show, through sponsorships, car entries, and donations. We know you guys have the cars and we'd love to see you put them into competition for a measly $25. There will be class awards, fan favorites, and of course, the Best in Show.  As far as visiting the event, if you have a couple of bucks to drop in a donation bucket it would be appreciated. Sponsors can step up here.

Who It Benefits

Again, this was the deal maker for us. The Scottish Rite Learning Center helps students with dyslexia. The students have a chance at reading, handwriting, and spelling therapy. Currently, 501 students take advantage of these services and events like this one help pay for the associated costs.  We know there are a lot a smart kids out there who just need this little push start to help them achieve everything they are capable of.

Learn More

You can find out more about the car show and download entry materials right here. The limit is 100 cars (give or take) so go ahead and get entered now. Our DEEPEST thanks go to all you car guys and gals for stepping up and making this event happen.

Lubbock Bartenders Reveal What Your Drink Order Says About You

I asked both former and current Lubbock area bartenders and door guys what they REALLY think about you- based on what you're ordering at the bar. Remember: this is all in good fun, be sure to always tip your bartender who loves you even if you do order a Lemon Drop.
