Dave Williams of Drowning Pool and Chad Kroger of Nickelback had something in common; both spoke out in favor of, and influenced tours to come through Lubbock.

Were it not for Dave standing up for Lubbock, the Jagermeister Music Tour would have never have played Lubbock. In fact, the poster, which is partially pictured here does not even include Lubbock among it's dates which were listed on the back.  After he busted that first barrier, the tour kept coming to Lubbock and other Jager artists were made aware that Lubbock rocks.

Drowning Pool made Lubbock a second home even before they made it big. Old school fans will tell you of the days when Dave Williams introduced the song "Bodies" by slamming a snow shovel against the floor. Dave was always available to fans after the show and to the other bands after hours. He was simply, a good dude.

Dave died in August of 2002 from a heart condition.

We have a few old pictures of Dave that you can check out here. They're not great, but they are cool.
