Lubbock, Texas is getting incredibly excited for a visit from Shaquille O'Neal. He will be here in town on September 11th, 2021 for the Texas Tech's home opener against Stephen F. Austin. Hopefully, our town will show him a great time. While he's here, 94.5 FMX has a few suggestions on places to visit before heading back home.

Buddy Holly Center: No visiting guest's time in Lubbock is complete without snagging a photo by the big glasses.

Prairie Dog Town: I know it might seem kind of lame to locals that have been there and done that, but come on...those little guys are adorable! Shaq strikes me as a rather cuddly fellow. Prairie dogs might be right up his alley.

American Windmill Museum: For some reason, this place sounds like it would be totally boring unless you already had a fascination for windmills, which could not be further from the truth! This is a great place to spend a few hours. Lubbock actually has the largest windmill museum in the world.

Lubbock Lake Landmark: It's kind of crazy that Lubbock has one of the top five destinations to see evidence of the very first Americans, according to Smithsonian Magazine.

The Slaton Bakery: Yeah, I know. It's not TECHNICALLY in Lubbock, but come on, Slaton is close enough and Shaq deserves the very best baked goods we have to offer around these parts. You can go wrong with the Slaton Bakery.
