Although it is only February, we are getting a sneak peak of what springtime in Lubbock has to offer. The sun is shining, the weather is beautiful, and everyone is itching to thaw out and spend some time outside.

Spring is probably my favorite season because of the wonderful feeling it brings. The world is warming up, plants are growing, seasonal depression starts to drift away, and all I want to do is lay in a hammock, reading, and listening to the bird's chirp.

If you feel the same and can’t wait for spring to finally be here, I figured we can imagine what will come by going over some amazing activities to do in Lubbock when it is nice out.

Of course, you are also welcome to enjoy any of these things now while the weather is warm.

It may not be warm enough to go swimming yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the sun and start working on your tan for the summer.

Another calm way to enjoy the perfect spring day is by having a picnic with your friends and family. You can do it in one of Lubbock’s many parks, or in your own backyard. Just have everyone bring their favorite snack and enjoy!

If you aren’t looking to go out on the town, but still want to enjoy the nice weather, you can always make some iced tea, lemonade, or any other cold drink, grab a good book and sit out on the front or back porch.
