Lubbock’s University Medical Center recently renovated the lobby at their main hospital, and one key upgrade has many locals excited.

Lubbock is home to a variety of wonderful coffee shops located all around town. They are great spots to meet with friends, do some studying, and of course, grab a cup of coffee, tea, or another yummy beverage.

Founded in 2019 by brothers Trenton and Randall Jackson, Monomyth Coffee has been a go-to spot for many Lubbockites, especially Texas Tech students due to their location at 2024 Broadway.

Their mission:

“Our mission is to provide encouragement on your journey, to serve as a source of rejuvenation and support as you confront challenges day in and day out, and to celebrate your victories, whether big or small.”

They roast their own coffee beans, which you can buy to brew at home, and are always playing with new blends to introduce to their customers.

Now they have partnered with UMC and you can get their coffee in the main hospital lobby.

If you’ve ever spent time in a hospital setting, you know how important it can be to have some form of comfort during your time there. For many people it can be as simple as a delicious cup of coffee, which is a great comfort.

So, the next time you are there, or if you really need a cup of joe and are in the area, you can check out Monomyth Coffee at the UMC main campus lobby.
