Starting Monday, the average high in the Lubbock area will be in the triple digits through at least Friday. According to KAMC, the high temperature on Monday will be around 101 before getting even hotter on Tuesday when Lubbock could see temperatures around 109 to 110 degrees.
When it comes to temperatures this high, it can dangerous for humans and animals. Some advice professionals give in order to stay healthy, and alive during heat like this includes staying hydrated, limit exposure to heat, and wear light fabric and clothes. And of course, seek air conditioning.
In fact, this week, you may want to check in on elderly neighbors or those who may not have air conditioning.
