Whata Opening! Levelland Officials Plan Ahead For First Whataburger In Town

I get it. Having a Whataburger in your hometown is a big deal. Whataburger is delicious, and as a Texan, you should have access to a Green Chili Double when you please. Or a Patty Melt. Or a Taquito (during breakfast hours, or buy a couple extra to reheat later, as I do).

Whataburger Grand Opening Details

The Grand Opening of the new location at 705 TX-114 is scheduled for Monday, March 30 at 11 a.m. In addition to having access to the goodness without having to drive 30 minutes into Lubbock, there may be giveaways, according to KLBK news.

How Levelland Police Are Handling It

To mitigate traffic problems that could be caused by traffic on the Grand Opening day, Levelland Police have proactively mapped a route that will keep everything safe and efficient for everyone:

Traffic Flow:

As drivers enter the area, they will be guided through the Holiday Inn Express parking lot, continuing behind the building before following a marked route into Whataburger via the secondary entrance.

Officer Presence

Levelland Police Department officers will be on-site to manage traffic, give directions, and help keep drivers safe along Highway 114 and nearby roads.

Exit Directions:

During the first few days of operation, while officers are present, all vehicles leaving the area must turn right onto Highway 114 (westbound). This temporary measure is intended to ease congestion and improve safety.
