Lubbock Air Personality Sets An Amazing, Mind-Numbing New Record For What?
Get ready, we're about to go full meta here.
My Uncle Bear once told me, "You just wake up one day and you're old". That sentiment can be twisted to your work as well. You could say, "Just keep knocking it out, and one day you'll be on the top". They also say that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step (Then you take another step, and another step, and before you know it you can't even see where you started from).
And here's where we go meta: this is my 9,000 post. 9,000 of anything is a huge number, I don't care if you've changed your 9,000th tire, or taught your 9,000th student. It's just a really huge number to look back on, especially when you don't think you'll make it to 10,000.
I should clarify that this is my 9,000 "official" post. I've ghostwritten hundreds of posts here and in other places, and before that, I wrote email newsletters to try and connect with listeners.
It's tough to stand on a body of work like this. Like anyone else, over time I've changed personally and also changed in how I approach things. I certainly don't wake up wanting to upset anyone, ever. Some days you're very passionate about things, and some days you're just going through the motions, just like any job.
One thing that will always be front and center is that you have my eternal gratitude each and every time you open up one of these posts to see what the heck is going on. Here's to hoping that many of my upcoming posts are fun things like giveaways, concert announcements, and jokes about the Dallas Cowboys (Okay, not the last one).
Thank you 9,000 times over.
