Lubbock Bartenders Reveal What Your Drink Order Says About You

Bartenders have a tougher job than you might think. They have to be quick, agile and have excellent short-term memories. They also have to put up with a lot of crap from a lot of less-than-coherent people.

Now imagine you're a bartender in Lubbock, Texas, a college town full of kids trying to pass fake I.D.s mixed in with hard-partying townies. I'm sure some nights are utterly insane.

Despite this, every bartender I know loves the job- and they are the "real-est" people you'll ever meet. So when I asked several of my bartender friends a question, they all had great answers for me.

The question was: what do you think about a person based solely on what drink they order? I got answers that ranged from the hilarious to the poignant.

But remember, even if you order a less-than-cool (or vaguely alarming) drink, as long as you behave yourself and tip appropriately, your bartender is going to take excellent care of you.

And you'll need that when you are at your most vulnerable. I'm looking at you, guy who keeps ordering Jagerbombs.
