As reported by Everythinglubbock.com, the trial date for Lubbock dentist Jason White has been pushed back to November 1st, 2021.

The date change from April 5th to later in the year was initiated by the federal prosecutors in the case who said they needed more time to gather evidence and go through White's extensive collection of data that may or may not be relevant to the case of child pornography and enticement of a child against Jason White.

The prosecution wanted the date to be pushed to October 26th, but the judge opted for a week later in November.

In my opinion, they could push this trial to next November. Or even 2023? Who's to say the trial could even start by 2025. I think the best case possible needs to be built here and they can't rush into anything. White will serve time while the prosecution builds the case.

I get the innocent until proven guilty part of our justice system, but I wouldn't want to rush that case or limit the prosecution's ability to go through the sheer amount of data collected from White.

On March 4th, prosecutors said, "To date, law enforcement has located approximately 1,000 sexually explicit videos and pictures of unidentified males and genitalia that will have to be shown to victims to assist in determining what is child pornography or relevant evidence and what is not."

That's after eight more victims had come forward after the initial arrest and indictment after federal agents raided White’s home and business in January.

White's cell phone allegedly contains about 340,000 images and videos, approximately 139,000 text messages, at least 53,000 emails, and approximately 42,000 items from his social networking applications. If that takes a decade to sift through, then so be it.

Mr. White can wait.
