Lubbock Health Department To Host Back To School Hygiene Drive
It's almost that time again. Kids will start going back to school soon in Lubbock and hopefully this will be a somewhat normal year where most, if not all instruction is done face to face and in a classroom.
It also means we will start seeing more back to school sales, fundraisers, and drives.
The City of Lubbock Health Department's Prevention Resource Center Region 1 group along with the Hub City Outreach Center are partnering together for a back to school hygiene drive for the students in Lubbock. Hygiene items that you want to donate can be dropped off at the City of Lubbock Health Department located at 806 18th Street. The items can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Those dropping off items are asked to use main entrance facing 18th Street.
The last day to drop off items for the Back to School Hygiene Drive will be Friday, August 13th. That's because on Saturday, August 14th, hygiene bags will be handed out at the Lubbock Dream Center during the Back to School Bash which begins at 9 a.m.
If you know of anyone or have children in K-8th grade who needs a backpack or school supplies, you can register with the Lubbock Dream Center here.
