We've begged, pleaded and maybe even cried a little here in Lubbock.

We wanted a Korean-style hot pot restaurant for ages, but every restaurant that promised to bring it never managed to actually open up. It was pure disappointment and heartbreak.

However, I have very happy news to share- Momotaro has made good on their promise to open and did for the first time today! (10/15/2024).

Congrats Momotaro!

Don't know what hot pot is? It's delicious and interactive!

Hot pot is a flavorful broth that continues to simmer at your table. You are given your choice of meats and veggies that you cook yourself, then dip in sauces if you like.

Momotaro's hot pot is all-you-can-eat and offers many meat, seafood, tofu, and veggie choices. There are even multiple broth and noodle options, too.

If hot pot doesn't sound like your thing, or if you want to try multiple dishes, Momotaro also has an extensive sushi menu, hibachi, teriyaki, tempura and more.

Vy Do posted some photos on LBK Foodies which she graciously is allowing me to share with you.

Look at this fresh and delicious-looking sushi!

I'm very excited about this new concept in Lubbock!

Remember, this is a soft opening and they are brand new, so if they happen to have any little hiccups, have some patience, but it might not even be an issue at all.

Welcome to Lubbock Momotaro, we are thrilled to have you here!
