Lubbock Parents Can Save BIG Bucks on a Stroller or Car Seat This Month
It's amazing how crafty the creators of child products have gotten when it comes to making a buck. Travel systems are designed to allow parents to seamlessly transition from the car to the stroller without the worry of having to wake their sleeping child. However, this convenient feature often comes with a big price tag.
Most infant car seats run anywhere from $100 to $250, which is a sound investment in the safety of your child. Yet many parents find themselves in need of a convertible safety seat after less than a year. For the parents of big babies (like myself) who don't want to fork out another $250, Target has made it easy to upgrade your baby gear at a fraction of the price.
The Target Car Seat Trade-In is simple. Starting Monday, April 18th and continuing through Saturday, April 30th, parents in Lubbock can take their old, used, broken or expired car seats and drop it in one of below boxes at one of the two Lubbock Target locations here in town. Download the Target App on your phone and scan the barcode that's on the box. This will give you a digital coupon to use at check-out.
Best of all, you're not limited to buying another car seat. You can also redeem the 20 percent off coupon on bouncers, strollers, high chairs, travel systems, play yards, walkers or an array of other expensive baby gear. Did I also mention that if you have a Target Red Card you'll get an additional 5 percent off your purchase?
When you consider the fact that this could save you over $60 on a $250 item, it's well worth the drive to this popular retailer. Additionally, this coupon can be used in store or online through May 14th, so you don't need to make a decision right away. The trade-in is limited to two per customer, but if you find yourself out of town during this amazing money saving event, you'll be happy to hear that this is a national campaign. In other words, you can drop off your car seats at any Target location in the United States.
Since 2016, Target has recycled "25.4 million pounds of car seats materials," which would normally be dumped in a landfill. Why not clear out the clutter, help the environment, and save yourself some money on items that you were going to need to buy anyways?
Our Target stores in Lubbock are located at:
- 7302 University Ave.
- 6064 Marsha Sharp Freeway
Both stores are open from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. every day. If you have any questions, feel free to ask a team member for assistance. I stopped by the Target off of Marsha Sharp and was immediately greeted with a smile and all of the answers I needed to get through the process.
This promotion only happens twice a year, so make sure to take advantage before it's too late.
