Lubbock Woman ‘Accidentaly’ Drives Elsewhere After Moving Corpse

And in more sad, but odd news that you simply can’t make up…

43 Year-old Nicole Goin of Lubbock was charged with tampering with evidence, or more specifically moving a corpse.

Goin and her alleged husband Matthew Goin had entered into a suicide pact after overdosing on prescription painkillers. Mr. Goin died while Ms. Goin was passed out. When Ms. Goin came to she realized that Mr. Goin was dead and proceeded to move his body.

At this point it is a sad story, that just gets odd.

Goin told LPD officers that she “accidentally” drove to Lamesa to tell her mother-in-law the news personally. The mother in law contacted Lubbock PD and Ms. Goin was arrested.

The LPD charged Ms. Goin with tampering with the corpse, assisting suicide and perjury since she gave false statements to the police.

She is being held on a $50,000 bond.
