For those who love it heavy, Hatebreed is a guaranteed good time. Every time I've ever seen Hatebreed (which I believe to be three times), it's been a rowdy, loud and overwhelmingly positive experience. If Hatebreed are magicians, their magical power is possession; you'll find your body thrashing and your head banging before you even realize that the music has taken you over.

In support of their eighth album Weight of the False Self (Nuclear Blast Records), Hatebreed is returning to Lubbock's Jake's Backroom (50th & Slide) for their "20 Years of Preservice Tour" on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022. Support for the show includes Gatekeeper, Body Snatcher and Dying Wish. This show is all ages.

A brief word about where to buy tickets because there are phonies and scalpers everywhere these days. I highly recommend you buy your advance tickets either through Ralph's Records (online or at 82nd & Indiana) or through Stub Wire. Ralph's is local and also a couple bucks cheaper. Advance tickets for this event shouldn't exceed about $40-ish. A friend of mine googled tickets for the show, and of course some sponsored site had them for a whopping $80 each. Sadly, "sponsored" does not necessarily mean reputable or fair, so be vigilant when it comes to your ticket purchases.

Tickets may be available at the door, but they will likely cost a little more and why risk disappointment when you don't have to? Jake's Backroom is a great venue but not huge, so the possibility of a sell-out always exists. Also, more advance ticket sales means more shows. Promoters can only risk so much, so largely "walk-up" markets may miss their chance on some shows.
