New Family Owned Winery And Event Center Now Open In Lubbock
The Texas High Plains region produces some of the finest varietals in the world. Lucky us, we Lubbockites live here.
And we get to enjoy the fruits of our land, through several wineries that utilize High Plains grapes both locally and across Texas.
You are probably already familiar with names like Llano Estacado, English Newsome Cellars, and McPherson Cellars, which are world-class wines created here at home.
Adelphos Cellars has been crafting several varieties of wine for years with a vineyard in Lorenzo, Texas. Now, you can taste their offerings at Adelphos Cellars tasting room and event center- right here in Lubbock.
Adelphos Cellars is now open at 11206 Indiana Ave, according to a post in the popular Facebook group LBK Foodies.
Adelphos is Greek for "brother" but also used in the broader sense of "brother" that modern folks also use to indicate close relationships with other family and friends. It's a lovely homage to the deep and storied history wine and humanity share with each other.
Adelphos Cellars, like other area wineries, will also be an elegant destination for events. If I were to re-do my wedding, a winery would be my first choice, as it is a celebration of the land which also grew myself and my loved ones.
Welcome Adelphos! I can't wait to taste what you have in store.
