Sweet Raider Is Lubbock’s Awesome Adoptable Dog of the Week
Raider is a beautiful brindle boy that's ready for his forever home. According to the folks at the Lubbock Animal Shelter and Adoption Center (3323 SE Loop 289):
Raider is a 2-year-old male Pit Bull/Mix who has been with for 38 days. He is very sweet and lovable. He is up to date on all his shots, fixed, and microchipped.
38 days is a long time to be in the clink, but it doesn't mean there's anything negative or undesirable about Raider. At 2 years old, he's basically the perfect adoption age, past the headaches and accidents of a puppy but with a long, full life ahead of him.
I'm a sucker for brindle coats, I think they are just beautiful and Radier is a gorgeous example of this stunning pattern.
Pit bulls get a bad rap through no fault of their own. Remember, "pit bull" isn't a breed, but a type of dog that has a short face and broad shoulders. There is absolutely no evidence that they are inherently more aggressive than any other dog. And mixes are just my absolute favorite dogs- I love knowing that my mixed breed dog is one-of-a-kind. She's healthy, smart and as a rescue, a loving and grateful animal.
All animals from LAS come spayed or neutered (or with a voucher to do so for free if they are too young to have the procedure). They are up to date on their shots and have a microchip should they get lost. Truly it's the best bargain of a lifetime for a best friend furever.
The Lubbock Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is open Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM, and is full of wonderful and deserving pets just waiting for you to find them.
