7-Eleven has opened its first ever drive-thru.

This new concept for the chain opened in Dallas, Texas this week, and they're serving tacos. My first thought was, 'that sounds sus.' I dug deeper and discovered it was a Laredo Taco Company drive-thru.

I felt immediate shame for my wrong-headed assumption. I was just unaware there were any Laredo Taco Companies at any 7-Elevens. 'Round these parts, its a Stripes thing. And as anyone with any sense knows, Laredo Taco Company slaps. The only drawback is that you have to go inside and wait in line for your delicious food.

Can you imagine driving through for LTC? I would be there constantly, especially if it had the same hours as the Dallas location:

Drive-thru hours are from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Dang, that would give other late-night favorites a run for their money. Or in Whataburger's case, make the line somewhat manageable.

Of course, the drawback to driving through would be that you couldn't go totally ape at the salsa bar. I stock up on pico like its my last meal. I also enjoy seeing the staff make my tortilla fresh in the press. It's like they care about me.

If you haven't tried LTC yet for whatever reason, I must recommend my personal favorite, the El Campeón:

The breakfast taco of all breakfast tacos! The champ comes out swinging with fresh cracked eggs, delicious chorizo, seasoned potatoes, refried pinto beans and fresh shredded cheese. Start your day like a Campeón.

Truly, it's the way to start your day like a champion. If you're looking for something lighter at lunch, have them make you a salad bowl with the tender, delicious chicken fajita meat. Yum!
