This is not good, not even a little bit.

WalletHub's latest findings on "Most & Least Educated States" shows Texas is not in a good place.  Overall Texas placed 39th (I guess I should say "out of 50" in case your education wasn't up to par).

The two master categories were Education Attainment (how far the average student went) and Educational Quality (how good was the teaching).  Texas placed #43 and #15 in these categories which would tell you that the schools are fairly good, but for some reason, the students aren't taking advantage of them.  Also, a key indicator here is the fact that Texas was #49 in the number of diploma holders.

It gets worse when you look at the areas scored high, and that would be #1 in the gender gap and 5th in racial gaps rankings.

Higher education wasn't spared either with Texas placing #30th in terms of the average University quality.

The conclusions here are clear, Texas needs to start impressing the importance of education on the actual students, especially among women and minorities.
