Former Texas Tech Baseball Player Delivers The Ultimate Mother’s Day Gift
A former Red Raider was able to do something a little special for Mother's Day. Okay, it was a lot special, and he was able to show his brother up at the same time.
Josh Jung played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders between 2017 and 2019 and was instrumental in helping the team win two Big 12 Championships and two appearances in the College World Series. Along the way he picked up so many awards his family probably has an investment in shelves.

It's no surprise that Jung has found a place for himself in Major League Baseball, but over the weekend he did something really special. Josh Jung actually hit a homer with his mom at the game, on Mother's Day. Now that would be a sweet surprise now wouldn't it? Hold on, because this story is about to take a big twist.
Red Raider Josh Jung's Mother's Day Homer vs. Brother Sets Potential Record
Here's part two of the story. Josh homered while playing against his brother! Josh plays for Texas while Jace plays for Detroit. The two-run homer helped the Rangers to a 10-3 win over the Tigers. He now was bragging rights with the family.
Let's not pretend that the guys didn't know the significance of the event. Prior to the game, Josh and Jace's mom Mary actually met both boys at the mound with the game ball. So a sweet moment started all of this, and Jung finished it with that homer!
According to the experts, this is the first time a brother hit a homer against his brother's team since at least 1969. So not only did we get a little family rivalty going, a record also may have been set.
