A Ruby Macaw was lost in Lubbock, Texas in the area of 74th and Upland, yesterday, June 28th, 2023, and it desperately needs your help to get home to its family! Pet birds have a terrible time getting back home because they are unable to identify their house from the sky! If it has spent its entire life indoors, the outside world is going to be quite the shock and it could be in a lot of trouble.

This bird is in danger and really needs everyone in Lubbock to be on the lookout. Below, you can find images of the bird posted publicly on Facebook by Pets Plus.

I received a message about the bird from a good samaritan spreading the word. It read:

"The heat will harm this bird and predators must find it quickly. Bring as much awareness as possible. Tell people to call the owner or Walters World of Pets and keep watch at a safe distance and don't attempt to capture without proper bird experience. Thanks!!"

Have you seen a macaw out on the road? If you find it, make sure you contact Walter's World of Pets, Pets Plus, or Andrew at (806)543-4439. If you would kindly share this article with your friends and family in the area, maybe we can come together to find this beautiful bird that is very missed by its owner! Keeps your eyes open with a bright red bird!
