This ‘Ultimate Road Trip Across The US’ Casually Skips Lubbock
Traveller 365 wrote a guide to the ultimate US road trip across the United States, and according to their map, they didn't just skip Lubbock, they did everything in their power to avoid it. Rude! Honestly, the entire panhandle of Texas was completely left off the route.
If you're looking for a road trip that totally avoids our portion of the United States, I guess I don't blame you. We aren't exactly known for tourism, but I'm still a little bit hurt by it. It's not really a road trip unless you make a stop to visit me, anyways. *sigh*
The trip they shared is roughly 13,699 miles, which equates to approximately 224 hours of driving. If you drove basically non-stop, they say you could do it in about 10 days, but that sounds absolutely miserable. Nothing quite like just waving at all the cool stuff as your drive by! The article suggests you would be better off taking the trip over the course of 2 or 3 months.

Is there no reason to visit us? Buddy Holly would weep! What would make Lubbock a better place for tourism? If you have any good ideas, comment below this article on our Facebook page.
