I've even thought about working at one part-time so that I could get first dibs on neat stuff.

I came across a video on TikTok this morning of a former Goodwill employee talking about what it's like working there, and it's NOT at all what I imagined. I didn't realize just how important it is to wash all of your clothing items and used goods when you get home from thrifting.

Dude. There is no way I would clean up biohazardous material on a Goodwill salary. I wouldn't even do it when I worked at a mental health hospital. That job went to whoever made the most money. If you're cleaning up SUPER icky stuff for the bare minimum money, you should start asking questions or start looking for a new job. No way.

I always wash the clothes I buy when I get home, but, this video makes my skin crawl, and has me second-guessing the power of my washing machine.
