We love these pictures of those serving our country.

Talk about a crazy time to be at sea, Aviation Machinist Jon Hough is onboard the U.S.S. Harry S.Truman in the Atlantic Ocean during the Coronavirus outbreak. The guys have to keep the ship better than ship-shape to make sure the crew stays healthy and is ready to head wherever it's sent on a moment's notice.

While I'm well aware of how large these ships are, just take a look at the scope of this picture. According to the caption, he's "sweeping the fantail" of this aircraft carrier, and that ceiling above him looks to be at least two or three stories tall.

It sure seems like Lubbock has more than its fair share of residents who take to the seas after growing up in the dry, West Texas heat.

Thank you for your service, sir, and we wish you a safe return home to Lubbock.

Truman (CVN 75) in the Atlantic Ocean May 12, 2020. The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG) remains at sea in the Atlantic as a certified carrier strike group force ready for tasking in order to protect the crew from the risks posed by COVID-19, following their successful deployment to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operation. Keeping HSTCSG at sea in U.S. 2nd Fleet, in the sustainment phase of OFRP, allows the ship to maintain a high level of readiness during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
