And now, for your daily cup of crazy...

A completely emotionally stable Reddit user by the name of BlasphemousWeener (we chuckled, too), went on a rant this week, making outrageous claims that the Lubbock Police Department were engaging in a form of mind control to exert extreme power of the citizenry. Yup, mind control.

I'm no virologist, but I'd take a wild guess and say that drugs...may be involved here. But you've got to see it to believe it:

Check this insanity out. From the original post:

The Lubbock Police dept. is currently terrorizing anybody who dares question their authority or expects to hold them accountable for their mistakes. The Kyle Carruth situation has solidified it. They are terrorizing people using a system of infrasound, ultrasound, and microwave radio frequency emitters which can induce something called the Frey effect on people and will literally drive you insane. The infrasound and ultrasound emitters can cause actual physical symptoms such as nausea, headaches, heart palpitations, and general physical discomfort. These sound frequencies are outside the range of human hearing but can be easily identified using apps on any smartphone. They are refusing to investigate any reports of this system being used because they are the ones using it. If you suspect you or someone you know is being targeted by it then PM me and I can walk you through the steps on how you can verify it.

Hold up there, Charlie Sheen. You say that these frequencies are outside the range of human hearing, but can be identified with an app? No wonder my chihuahua suddenly goes bats*** every so often and pees on the linoleum. IT'S THE COP'S FAULT!

Mercifully, some of the commenters had a little more common sense. Well...just a little.

Yep. Gay frogs and 5G. Clearly some common sense seems to be taking hold here. Or it's just incredible sarcasm. I'm voting on the latter.

Let's just state this once and for all: No, the LPD is not using microwaves to make you nuts. They may be using microwaves to make you popcorn, however. No one from the police has either confirmed or denied these allegations, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the claims may be more than a bit unfounded.

Or are they?

Trust us, the movie Scanners is not a documentary. Please, though, enjoy this final fight scene from the film which is made even more epic by the fact that it's in French.

And, yes, drugs are bad.
