It's been a tumultuous year for everyone, but some folks got a double or triple dose of 2020. I am so proud of everyone who has stood up and dusted themselves off, especially my friends, a lovely husband and wife duo, that have brought Plain Jane's back to us.

It takes a backbone of steel to run a small business, and they've certainly got one:

2020 has been the craziest roller coaster for my family and small business. Opened a store in 2019 & closed due to the pandemic in 2020. My hubby was diagnosed with heart failure. Decided to move away and moved back home to Lubbock. ( Lubbock is Home!!!) So many ups and downs. I don’t even know how I haven’t fallen apart COMPLETELY!(although I have fallen apart I’m still intact) I’m gonna keep going because quitting is NOT in me.

Anyone who has lived in Lubbock knows that leaving is like avoiding the void death of a neutron star, that sucks you back into the abyss

No, that's no good. Let's try...

like escaping the tentacles of a prehistoric squid that feeds you to its unfeeling beak

erhm...

like the hooks that spring from the Cenobites' puzzle box that tears you apart as you cry "Jesus wept!"

Let's just say you can take the girl out of Lubbock, but you can't take the Lubbock out of the girl.

I'm thrilled Plain Jane's is back. They have the ooey-iest, goo-iest homemade cinnamon rolls, crispy, delicious fried pies, and cookies that taste like they come from the kitchen of the most lovely of grandmothers.

Be sure to follow Plain Jane's on Facebook so you can catch them at their next stop. Lubbock always welcomes family home.
