Elon Musk, a man who is famous for being extraordinarily rich and smoking weed with Joe Rogan, wants us all to join his money party in his new money town.

Well, it's not quite his town yet, but don't be surprised if you hear about an official name change for Boca Chica, Texas soon. Does Boca Chica, I mean, 'Starbase,' need radio DJs/hack article writers? Please?

The Tesla CEO, 49, said on Twitter last week that he wants to create a new city around the small town of Boca Chica, where his SpaceX already has a private launch site and rocket production facility. "Creating the city of Starbase, Texas," he wrote, adding in a second tweet, "From thence to Mars, And hence the Stars."

You know a man is serious when he uses grandiloquent words like "thence" and "hence."

Musk is making it rain down in Cameron County, as announced by the man himself on Twitter:

Good Lord, that's generous. And if you want in on the money shower, Mr. Musk wants more folks in the area for Space X:

So why did Elon chose this area in the first place? Apparently, it boils down to a few things:

SpaceX chose Boca Chica because it’s near the shoreline, mostly inhabited, near the equator, closer to California, has an experienced and capable workforce in Texas, and Texas state and local legislators offered tax incentives to build a rocket factory and launch site there.

Will Starbase become a techno-utopia? Is Musk taking over Texas, nay, the world, one county at a time? Being that he's a guy who literally believes he will colonize Mars, Texas seems like an easy target.

Here's hoping this native Texan gets her own slice of the cheddar.
