October 1st is this Friday, which means that a slew of events is headed our way.

Of course, everyone is preparing for the spookiest time of the year, Halloween. Although I do love Halloween, some of us are also hype to polka the night away while eating bratwurst, pretzels, and drinking all the beer you can handle.

That’s right, October also means celebrating Oktoberfest. Traditionally Oktoberfest is celebrated from mid-September to the first Sunday in October, but we do things a little differently here in Lubbock. We have Oktoberfest celebrations that span into mid-to-late October.

Fortunately, Lubbock loves its beer and a good time, so there are a few different options for those looking to celebrate this German holiday.
