Grammy-award-winning group Switchfoot and Blue October will be coming to the Hub City in August.

Switchfoot is an American rock band from San Diego, California.  After early successes in the Christian rock scene, Switchfoot first gained mainstream recognition with the inclusion of four of their songs in the 2002 film A Walk to Remember.

According to Jon Foreman, the name "Switchfoot" comes from a surfing term. "We all love to surf and have been surfing all our lives so to us, the name made sense. To switch your feet means to take a new stance facing the opposite direction. It's about change and movement, a different way of approaching life and music."

Switchfoot won a Grammy Award for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album in 2011 with Hello Hurricane. They've also garnered eleven GMA Dove Awards and twelve San Diego Music Awards.

Switchfoot is known for songs like Dare You To Move, Meant to Live, and I Won't Let You Go.

Alongside Switchfoot will be Blue October. Blue October is an American rock band originally from Houston, Texas, formed in 1995.

The band has had nineteen top 40 singles on the alternative rock chart over the span of twelve studio albums, and is best known for its platinum singles "Hate Me" and "Into the Ocean" from their 2006 platinum album Foiled.

Switchfoot will perform at Cook’s on August 9th, and they will be joined by Blue October and Matt Nathanson.

Tickets and Meet and Greet passes are on sale right now and can be purchased here.
