Central Lubbock is once again becoming a destination for shoppers, with retail outlets like Ross Dress for Less, Five Below, and Rainbow.

With the success of these retailers, more businesses are moving into the area, including Hibbett Sports, which is set to open soon.

Central Lubbock Gets Another Discount Retailer Option

Who doesn't love getting a great deal? For discount-savvy shoppers, a new option is coming to Lubbock- DD's Discounts, which may be a little more familiar to you than you might expect.

When browsing through the DD's Discount website, I thought the "Found In Store" photos of tagged items looked familiar. They looked nearly identical to Ross Dress for Less tags. Makes sense, as the same parent company owns them.

And if you like the deals at Ross, you'll love DD's, as it offers even deeper discounts!

When Will Lubbock's DD's Discounts Open?

According to PRLog.com, DD's Discounts is set to open in the 4th quarter of 2025 in the Caprock Shopping Center, so sometime between September and December of this year.

The release also mentions that the retail space is an "approximately 18,485 square foot store," so plenty of room for a lot of bargains.

Is DD's Discounts In Lubbock Hiring?

I was unable to find any hiring posts yet; however, if you search Lubbock jobs on DD's Discount website, you get open positions at Ross Dress for Less.  Applying for the nearby Ross store may be a great way to get your foot in the door for DD's.
