Lubbock, we are blessed with an incredible co-header lineup for our 2024 concert season. In case you haven't heard the news, Social Distortion and Bad Religion will perform at the Lone Star Amphitheater on Tuesday, April 16th with support from The Lovebombs.

Before we go any further, I need to drag out my soapbox about buying your tickets from a reputable source. Google has a tendency to display resellers first, which can ridiculously overcharge you. This is the link to the ticket seller. Tickets are $46.50 before fees.

Social Distortion will be performing a special Mommy's Little Monster set in celebration of the 40th anniversary of that album. I have seen Social Distortion both here in Lubbock and on their home turf of Orange County, California, and I can promise you they put on an incredible show. Described as "punk rock" but that isn't exactly right. Social Distortion has rock and rockabilly sensibilities that make them catchy, fun and incredibly listenable.

I have not seen Bad Religion before and I'm excited for the opportunity. I'm not sure they've ever been to Lubbock so I hope we give them a warm welcome. Bad Religion is another bad that's described as punk, and again, it's not the best description. This is better:

Musically, they are noted for their melodic sensibilities and extensive use of three-part vocal harmonies.

Since our Tacos and Tequila Music Festival will come a little later this year, this incredible co-header will be a great way to sate our live, outdoor music hunger until September.
