This Valentine’s Day, you can spend it with your true love—if your true love is pancakes.

Who doesn’t melt a little for a warm, fluffy stack of buttery goodness? Personally, I’m a double-butter-no-syrup person. I don’t hate those who drown theirs in syrup—I just quietly judge and decline to participate.

The 74th Lubbock Lions Club Pancake Festival Is Back

This beloved Lubbock tradition brings together around 18,000 people each year, and if that sounds too “people-y” for you, relax—the Lions run it like clockwork. They keep the lines moving, and I’ve never had trouble grabbing a table for the family.

This year, the festival lands on Valentine’s Day, and yes—it’s a gamble planning a belly full of pancakes on a day usually reserved for candlelight and roses. But maybe you love your significant other… and pancakes. In that case, it’s a win-win.

While only the date and an event invite are official so far, last year’s admission was $10 in advance and $12 at the door, with $1 tokens available to grab extras.

A Lubbock Tradition Worth Savoring

On the menu: pancakes, sausage, coffee, milk, and orange drink—plus a side of folksy entertainment and warm fellowship with the Lubbock Lions. Honestly, hanging out with these good-hearted people is the best part of the whole day.

The festival usually runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., so whether you’re an early bird or a late stack snacker, they’ve got you covered.
